ENTRIES:
Dalmatian Enthusiasts who also happen to be artistically inclined may participate. There are a few "rules" though.

ABOUT THE ART:

  1. Any art medium is welcome - paint, acrylic, water color, oil, ceramic, fabric, (embroidery, cross stitch, quilting) sculpture, stained glass, photography, jewelry, pottery, blown glass... What else? You tell us! The key word is "art". Please reserve "craftier" submissions for another event. Thank you!

  2. The piece must be an original (not from a kit)

  3. The piece must incorporate Dalmatians or at least spots.

  4. Pieces should be signed by the artist and dated 2012.

  5. Artists should be at least 18 years old.

ABOUT THE PROCESS:

  1. Notify Toni Linstedt at jujudal@sbcglobal.net of your entry by October 1, 2011 with a brief description. (Art medium, size, how it incorporates Dalmatians or spots).

  2. A maximum of 35 pieces will be accepted for the silent auction.

  3. If more than 35 artists submit, the DCAF Development committee will select the 35 to be accepted.

Top Twenty Cover
As an interesting twist, all pieces that are complete (or nearly complete) by March 1, 2012, will be considered for the Top Twenty catalog cover. (No separate Top Twenty Cover Art Contest this year!) The selected piece will be removed from the Silent Auction and auctioned live during Top Twenty intermission.

We are looking forward to some wonderful entries that Dalmatian lovers the world over (via FaceBook and the DCAF website) will be lining up to acquire. Thank you in advance for your participation!

REMOTE BIDDING:
Not able to attend DCA this year? Don't miss the chance to own original artwork and raise money for DCAF!

You can participate from home!

  • E-mail your bid to Kevin O'Connell
    kevin.w.oconnell@gmail.com

  • Include the # of the peice.

  • Make your bid for the maximum you are willing to pay. (You may only place one remote bid per figurine so make it count!)

  • Minimum bids are $35.00.

  • Remote bids must be received by no later than tbd at midnight CST.

  • Remote bidders will also pay shipping for delivery of their artwork.

People bidding in person will know that there is a remote bid, but they will not know the amount. When the auction ends, if a remote bidder is the high bidder, bidder will pay $5 more than the last highest bid.
