Announcing The Art Show At The Dog Show, the 2012 DCAF Fund Raising event to be held during National at the Renaissance Hotel in Tulsa, OK, May 2-6, 2012. We will once again conduct a Silent Auction with Remote Bidding (just like the Decorated Dals).

#29 - "Spirit of the Southwest" Hand-painted portrait of a Dal on a turquoise/manganese gemstone, suspended by three Lalique crystal beads. The necklace is strung on knotted silk. 22" long and is composed of freshwater pearls, natural and colored, interspersed with turquoise beads. It is designed to hang just below the breastbone.

#30 - "Blue Dog and Horse" Potter Bowl. 11" across and approximately 3 to 4" tall. Charlieware is completely food safe, dishwasher, oven and microwave safe. Blue Dog and Horse was thrown, carved and glazed by hand in our studio.

#31 - "A Spot by Any Other Name" Head Sculpture. The piece is 8.5" from ear edge to ear edge, 9.5" high and roughly 11" from nose to end of base. This makes this piece roughly life sized.

#33 - "Potted Spots" In keeping with this year's theme of Native Dalmatian, this 48" X 58" quilt features two mischievous pups, one liver and one black, investigating Indian pottery in a southwestern home. Details feature two Indian 'pictures' on the wall, and a desert scene of mountains and cactus through the 'window'. The quilt is hand appliqued and machine quilted.

#35 - "Dals Do It All" 42" by 48" Quilt. Twelve 8" by 10" printed fabric squares, sewn on to a red fabric background. The squares are of Dalmatians doing it all from tracking, agility, obedience, conformation and being a great family member.

The Art Show exhibits will be on display at the Dalmatian Club of America National Specialty all day on Tuesday during Conformation classes, and Tuesday evening during and after Top Twenty. The auction will close about an hour after Top Twenty.

Not able to attend DCA this year? Don't miss the chance to own original artwork and raise money for DCAF!

  • Include the # of the piece.

  • Make your bid for the maximum you are willing to pay.

  • Minimum bids are $35.00.

  • Remote bids must be received by no later than Friday, May 4th at midnight CDT .

  • Remote bidders will also pay shipping for delivery of their artwork.

People bidding in person will know that there is a remote bid, but they will not know the amount. When the auction ends, if a remote bidder is the high bidder, bidder will pay $5 more than the last highest bid.
